Stripes

Put a stripe over here,
and a stripe over there!
Put a stripe on your knee,
and a stripe in your hair.
Put stripes in the air everywhere!
Put stripes in the air everywhere!
It's a stripey kind of day!
It's a stripey kind of day!

Put a swirl over here...
Put a wave over here...

Rayas

Haz una raya por aquí,
y una raya por allá.
Haz una raya en tu cabecilla,
¡y haz una raya en tu rodilla!
Haz rayas a todo tu alrededor,
Haz rayas a todo tu alrededor.
¡Qué esplendor!
¡Qué esplendor!

Haz un remolino por aquí…
Haz una ola por aquí…

This song we found on the State Library of Western Australia’s website, but decided to use the melody of “Three Blind Mice” to add a little musicality. This song is great to use with scarves or wrist ribbons. The Spanish translation ends with “What splendor!” to maintain a rhyming structure.
