Homes - Hogares

Homes

A nest is a home for a bird,
and a hive is a home for a bee!
A hole is a home for a mouse,
and a house is a home for me!

A pond is a home for a frog,
and a forest is a home for a tree!
A cave is a home for a bear,
and a house is a home for me!

Hogares

We found this song on The North Olympic Library system’s YouTube channel and loved it so much we had to translate it into Spanish! We added verses and changed around some of the animals to make it a little longer.

Note that we had to take some poetic licenses with colibrí and jabalí to maintain a rhyming structure. Colibrí translates to hummingbird, not bird. And jabalí is a wild boar, not a tree, but the hand motion is the same since they both live in forests.
